It’s been a couple of times during the last few weeks, months, during this pandemic that I have really struggled, and I reckon you guys have too.
The simple technique is a breath technique. So if you’re walking down the street and get that idea in your head, which makes you feel unsettled or unsure, if you’re in a meeting and you’re talking about the future and it’s really uncertain. If you got a difficult conversation from your team members. You got a hire redundancy conversation all those things going on.
Here’s the technique:
Breath.
Done in a specific way.
The key thing is: the breathe in time and breathe out time.
So, breath in for 5, count to 5, and then breathe out for 5.
Do that for at least a minute. So, what that does is rather than your sympathetic nervous system which is your fight or flight part of your brain being engaged, it engages the parasympathetic part of your nervous system which allows you to feel relaxed, and calm.
And you can get better decision making, be better for your family and just enjoy things more.
