Last week we talked about addressing the teamwork challenges in your top leadership team so that your leadership teams clarity and teamwork become a model and multiplier in your business.
Once you achieve this then many organisations are left with teamwork problems between levels of leaders:
Have a think about your organisation.
How aligned are the levels underneath you or above you?
Do the top team and 2 layers underneath have a sense of being a single community?
If you want to address this in your business, here’s what I recommend:
Distance between the top team and your Layer 2 and Layer 3 leaders
Optimise conversation between layers not one way communication.
When the top leadership team come out with a new strategy or a new way of working, innovation or disruptive view point, often they treat communication as one way exercise.
Developing community within your Layers of Leaders
Put into place programs that build connections within and between your layers.
If we get community between your top 3 layers of leaders, we get connections and alignment at the top and community at the bottom – we get this magic multiplier effect, not just at the top level but within the whole system.
